This Cookie Policy explains how the BeaconHQ platform and website (the "Service") use cookies and similar technologies. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to make them more secure, and to provide information to the operators of the site. Similar technologies (such as local storage and tokens) perform comparable functions, and references to "cookies" in this Policy include those technologies.
2. The categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary cookies. These are essential for the Service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They include the session token that keeps you securely signed in. Our bot-detection provider also protects our public forms from automated abuse; it sets no cookie on our website, and any technical information it stores in your browser is held on its own domain, as described in section 3. Because these are essential, they are not subject to consent.
Analytics cookies. These help us understand how visitors use our public marketing website — for example which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, and how they move through the site — so that we can measure and improve it. Analytics cookies are used on our public website only. They are not used within the BeaconHQ application, so they do not record any customer contract data or work carried out inside the platform.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, we do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell information collected through cookies.

Our bot-detection provider, Cloudflare Turnstile, protects our public forms from automated abuse. It does not set any cookie on our website. When the check runs, Cloudflare may store technical information in your browser on its own domain in order to perform the check; this is strictly necessary for security and is described in Cloudflare's own cookie documentation.
We also use Sentry to monitor our website and platform for technical errors. Sentry does not set any cookie on our website and does not track how you use the site. It transmits information to us only when a technical error occurs, so that we can identify and fix problems. Because Sentry stores no information on your device, it does not require cookie consent. We rely on our legitimate interests in keeping the Service secure and working correctly, as described in our Privacy Policy.
The exact set of cookies may vary as the Service develops. A current, itemised list can be made available on request and is reflected in the consent banner presented when you first visit.
4. Managing your cookies
Where cookies are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before setting them, and you can change your preferences at any time through the cookie controls on our website. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them — although blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Service from working properly.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when it was most recently revised.
